Overview
The Ivato Lemur Rescue & Rehabilitation Center will serve as the nation’s flagship facility for confiscation, medical care, behavioral recovery, and scientific research.
Strategically located near Antananarivo, Ivato will become the first fully dedicated site in Madagascar to receive seized lemurs, assess their condition, and support their journey toward release or long-term care.
Ivato is more than a facility — it’s a vision for a future where Madagascar leads the world in lemur rehabilitation and protection.

Community Conservation
Ivato will create local jobs, train Lemur Guardians, and host outreach programs to educate nearby communities and engage them in conservation efforts.

Global Collaboration
The facility will serve as a hub for research and policy development, welcoming international partners in conservation science, veterinary medicine, and biodiversity protection.
