Nosy Kissimasy

Overview

Nosy Kissimasy is more than just an island — it’s a sanctuary of hope. Donated by the royal family for conservation purposes, this site will serve as the long-term home for lemurs who cannot be released into the wild, offering them freedom, dignity, and care in natural forested surroundings.

It is the first of its kind in Madagascar, designed to combine ethical sanctuary practices, scientific innovation, and community inclusion.

Where rescue ends, sanctuary begins. Nosy Kissimasy is the promise of lifelong protection.
