Earlier this year we had the absolute pleasure of hosting 2 Veterinarians from Madagascar. Drs. Ange and Donovan came to LCF to participate in a 3-month husbandry internship to learn about lemur behavior and husbandry. In collaboration with The Dr. Abigail Ross Foundation for Applied Conservation and the Mad Dog Initiative, we were able to provide Drs. Ange and Donovan knowledge and experience to build a stronger future for lemur care and protection in Madagascar! They are currently working to develop a dedicated lemur rescue, rehabilitation, and release program in Madagascar and we are so grateful to have another opportunity to assist with lemur conservation in Madagascar!!
