This week, the Mad Dog Initiative (MDI) and our partners from The Dr. Abigail Ross Foundation for Applied Conservation (TDARFAC) are proud to participate in the 30th International Primatological Society (IPS) Congress, held in Antananarivo, Madagascar.

As conservationists from across the globe gather to share ideas, research, and innovations, we are honored to represent the voices working on the ground in Madagascar to protect one of the world’s most endangered groups of mammals: lemurs.

Throughout the week, we’ll be attending talks, engaging in workshops, and connecting with other scientists and field practitioners. Our goal is to exchange knowledge, build stronger collaborations, and bring home new strategies to enhance our rescue, rehabilitation, and rewilding efforts.

This is more than a scientific gathering — it’s an opportunity to amplify Madagascar’s leadership in primate conservation and to strengthen global support for sustainable, community-based solutions.

Stay tuned as we share highlights from the Congress, spotlight key discussions, and celebrate the growing momentum for lemur protection in Madagascar and beyond.
